The Saranac Lake Civic Center has appointed Cliff Beairsto as president and new board officers, marking a leadership transition for the Adirondack facility.
The Saranac Lake Civic Center has new board leadership. In a news release, the organization announced that Cliff Beairsto is now president, Stephanie Colby is vice president and Chris Knight is secretary. Matt Raymond will continue serving as treasurer.
The change comes as four members step off the board: Victoria Sturgeon, Ollie Burgess, Josh Dann and Kathy Healy.
The Civic Center credited Burgess, Sturgeon and Dann with important roles in moving the organization forward, particularly during its 2022 revitalization effort. Burgess held several officer roles during his time on the board and helped oversee the organization's multi-million-dollar capital campaign, which the release described as instrumental in advancing the facility's revitalization.
The Civic Center thanked Sturgeon, Burgess, Dann and Healy for their service and said it looks forward to building on the organization's progress under its new board leadership.
